NAAALEC Announcements
Greetings and Happy New Year to the Members of NAAALEC,
I hope everyone had a wonderful year and peaceful holiday in 2011.
I'm excited to start the 2012 year as your newly elected President and look forward to working with your NAAALEC Board Members: 1st Vice President Terry Hara, Deputy Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department, 2nd Vice President Lucy Moy-Bartosik, Commander of the Chicago Police Department, 3rd Vice President Jonathan Lee, Special Agent of NCIS, Secretary Jerry McManus, Lieutenant of the San Diego Police Department, Treasurer Debbie Van Patten, Retired IRS-CI Special Agent, and Sergeant-at-Arms Wayne Kitade, Captain of the Elk Grove Police Department. Together we will continue and create ways to enhance excellence in law enforcement.
I also want to thank the past President John Lee for his leadership, vision and service to NAAALEC as well as the NAAALEC Board of Directors for their leadership and commitment over the last few years.
One of NAAALEC's main goals this year is to rebuild our membership and continue to identify current and future Asian American Pacific Islander law enforcement leaders around the country. Through NAAALEC's outreach efforts, training and one-on-one mentoring, I also encourage members to continue and utilize your positions to promote the recruitment, enrichment, and advancement of qualified Asian American Pacific Islanders in the field of law enforcement.
Fraternally,
Clarissa M. Balmaseda, President
